Josh Phelps, DSM, is a professional contract and competitive auctioneer based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is the reigning Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association’s Champion Professional Bid Caller and Team Champion Auctioneer.
Dr. Phelps has held a life-long passion for the auction industry and the live auction method of marketing.He attended the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, North Carolina, and was at that time the youngest graduate to date in August of 1998.
Outside the auction industry, Dr. Phelps has enjoyed a fruitful career in music performance and music ministry. Holding degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Tennessee (Bachelor of Music) and the University of Oklahoma (Master of Music), Phelps has appeared as a soloist in celebrated venues across the world including countless Opera Houses in Europe and Carnegie Hall in New York City. Choirs under his direction have performed at state and regional conventions and appeared on national and international television broadcasts.
With renewed focus on his auction career, Dr. Phelps enjoys a steady schedule in a wide variety auction formats including Farm and Construction Equipment Auctions, Real Estate Auctions, Estate Auctions, Business and Restaurant Liquidations, as well as local, regional, national and international Benefit Auctions.
Mr. Phelps is married to Oklahoma native and internationally celebrated trumpeter, Lacey Redfield Phelps. They work in the North Texas and Oklahoma region and can be found lovingly enjoying life with their two rescue dogs, Gracey and Toto.
